Charlie Meier Earns Endorsement from Farm Bureau
Okawville, IL - The Illinois Farm Bureau ACTIVATOR has endorsed Charlie Meier for State Representative. The Farm Bureau ACTIVATOR endorsement is decided as part of a grassroots process, and a group of local farmers from the 109th district evaluated Charlie Meier’s legislative record and leadership at the Capitol and chose to endorse him.
“Representative Charlie Meier has been a strong supporter of Illinois farmers in Springfield,” said Eric DeMange, President of the Madison County Farm Bureau. “For that reason, the farmer trustees representing the Illinois Farm Bureau ACTIVATOR are proud to announce the endorsement of State Representative Charlie Meier. Charlie listens to the concerns of his district and turns those concerns into legislative action at the Capitol. Let’s send Charlie back to Springfield!”
Meier, a multi-generational farmer on his centennial farm in Okawville, has fought for family farms, small businesses, working families, and stands up to Chicago Democrats to protect the rural values that make Southern Illinois strong.
“Our farming community needs a proven fighter in Springfield who will not back down in the battle to support our farmers,” said Charlie Meier. “I know firsthand the challenges farmers face and will continue to fight for our rural Southern Illinois values. We need to eliminate the estate tax, make it easier for farms to do business, and cut bureaucratic red tape.”
